'Parents and Actively Engaged Community Members' Announce Runs for Robbinsville Board of Education

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ - Three "parents and actively engaged community members," have announced their intention to run for the Robbinsville Board of Education in the 2024 election.

Election Day is on Tuesday, November 5.

A statement announcing the candidacies of Barbara Gould, Fizza Seehra, and Christopher Emigholz promoted the trio as "Robbinsville parents with education and government affairs expertise" and offered background on their professional careers.

"As three parents and actively engaged community members, we believe in the resilience of Robbinsville's school community, especially when we work together in partnership," says Gould, "As we continue to rebuild, it will be crucial to reflect on past decisions, strategically plan for the future, and consider long-term budgetary implications to bring back student programs, extra-curricular experiences, and services at the core of Robbinsville's educational excellence."

Gould, the Chief Academic Officer in the West Windsor Plainsboro School District, has lived in Robbinsville for 20 years, where she and her husband, Brian Gould, a Special Education Teacher, are rasing three children, ages 8, 5, and 3. 

Fizza Seehra and her husband Amman have lived in Robbinsville for over 12 years and have two children, Abhay (7th grade) and Maya (3rd grade). Fizza, currently a senior manager of state government affairs in the Worldwide Government Affairs & Policy group at Johnson & Johnson, has worked at the healthcare giant for 20 years.

Also a government affairs professional, Chris Emigolz, currently the Chief Government Affairs Officer for the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), has lived in Robbinsville's Town Center for 13 years with his wife Bonnie and three children, Ryan, Alex, and Erin.
